During his undergraduate years, Dr. Borders was actively involved in student mentorship, tutoring, and club leadership, demonstrating his commitment to education and community support.
He then pursued his Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry (SCO), where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2026. His academic excellence and dedication to his craft set the foundation for his future career in optometry.

Dr. Borders’ clinical training provided him with diverse and valuable experiences in eye care:
Primary Eye Care Clinic (New Hampshire): Gained hands-on experience in general optometry and patient care.
Ralph H. Johnson VA Hospital (Charleston, South Carolina): Worked with veterans, providing specialized eye care and managing ocular diseases.

Originally from Northeast Texas (Paris, TX area), Dr. Borders is thrilled to be back home, serving the community he loves. His deep connection to Texas and his passion for patient care drive his mission to provide exceptional eye care to his neighbors.
